As a part of our efforts to ensure patient safety, Ro is required to verify your identity. For most, this process is automatic and happens as you create your My Ro account. However, in some cases you will need to upload the following to help verify your identity:
- A clear picture of your face without sunglasses
- A clear picture of your current, valid, government-issued photo ID.
Uploading photos to your online visit
Step 1 - During your online visit, you will be prompted to share a photo of yourself:
- Click on Take or upload photo
-
Click on Upload a Photo if you already have a picture saved to your device that you would like to upload to Ro. Otherwise, click on Take a photo if you would like to take a new photo with your device.
- You may be prompted for permission to access your photos or camera. Follow on-screen instructions to take and attach your picture to your account.
- Please note: Your device needs to have a functioning camera or webcam in order to use the Take a photo function.

What if I can't upload my photo?
If you're running into issues uploading your ID, or if you don't have your ID at the moment, you can skip this step and upload your photos at a later time. To submit your photos, log back into your My Ro account and select the action item at the top of your account. Alternatively, you can contact care via email at care@ro.co to submit your photo or with any other issues you may run into.
