What are some strategies for mitigating common side effects?

Speak to your provider if you are experiencing side effects.

If your medication is causing dry mouth, try chewing on sugarless gum or sucking on sugarless candy.

If your medication is causing nausea, talk to your provider about timing your doses at specific times around your meals.

If your medication is causing you to feel overly energetic and is interfering with your sleep, talk to your provider about taking it first thing in the morning.

If your medication is causing you to feel sleepy, talk to your provider about taking it right before bedtime.

If your medication is causing problems with sex, talk to your provider about other medications that can safely help.

If your medication is causing excess weight gain, talk to your provider about lifestyle changes that can help, as well as potential changes to your treatment plan.
