Can I use Modern Fertility as a trans, non-binary, intersex, or gender non-conforming person?

The Modern Fertility Hormone Test is designed to measure hormones for people with ovaries, regardless of gender identity. If you have ovaries, then the Modern Fertility Hormone Test is for you. Our test provides insight into egg count, ovulation, general body factors, and red flags that relate to fertility. If you have testes, we’re thinking about how to best support your fertility needs—stay tuned!

If you’re a person with ovaries currently on hormone therapy, we suggest reaching out to our support team for more details on what impact (if any) your hormone therapy might have on your test. People with ovaries can be on hormone therapy for gender affirmation, PCOS, or other medical conditions. Hormone therapy medications may include testosterone, progesterone, estrogen blockers, and other compounds that suppress ovarian function. Because these medications are designed to impact reproductive hormones, they can affect some of the hormones included in the Modern Fertility Hormone Test.
