Azelastine comes as a nasal spray that delivers the medication directly to the inside of the nose. It is typically used two times per day, once in the morning and once in the evening. If possible, try to take the medication at the same time each day.
If you are using more than one kind of nasal spray for treatment, it is okay to use the medications at the same time of the day (one right after the other) or to stagger them throughout the day.
Because azelastine can be mildly sedating, you should exercise caution when taking azelastine as you figure out how your body reacts to it, because it could impact your ability to drive or operate machinery.
