Regarding application, it’s best to apply the cream before bedtime. Lying flat through the night will help the medicine reach all the areas it needs to reach, and the cream is more likely to remain comfortably in place.
Using a panty liner at night and in the first few weeks of using the cream may prevent leakage from staining clothes or bedsheets.
A gentle moisturizer applied externally a few minutes before the vaginal estrogen can help with irritation and will make using a panty liner or pad at night more comfortable.
