Medication Induced ED: What now?

First of all, do not just stop taking the medicine to treat your condition. Talk to your doctor about different possibilities of how to deal with the problem. In general, here are 3 steps to dealing with medication induced ED:

1️⃣  Still Need It?

Do you still need the medication that is causing the ED?

If the condition has resolved over time, you may be able to just stop the medicine after consulting with your doctor.

2️⃣  Try Another Medication

If you still need to treat the other condition, is there an alternative that is effective and does not cause ED? Often there is and this can solve the problem.

Please consult your doctor before making any changes to your medications.

3️⃣  Treat the ED directly

If you still need the medicine, treat the ED directly. Oral PDE-5 inhibitors used to treat ED are usually effective at treating medication induced ED.
