Depression Medication Causing ED: Are there alternatives?

The most common medicines used to treat depression are associated with ED. These include the SSRIs, SNRIs, and TCAs.

There are a few antidepressants on the market that are unlikely to cause ED.

The main ones are:

  • Wellbutrin (bupropion)
  • Remeron (mirtazapine)
  • Viibryd (vilazodone)
  • Trintellix (vortioxetine)

There are also non-pharmacologic treatments for depression that can be useful such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Talk to your doctor to see if one of these may work for you.
